PHOENIX (AZFamily)—The first luxury glass dome glamping experience has opened in Utah, just across the border from Arizona.
Clear Sky Resort offers guests a unique way to stargaze just 15 minutes from Bryce Canyon.
Hal Feinberg founded Clear Sky Resorts to create unique travel experiences. A few years ago, he opened a similar domed resort in Williams for Grand Canyon travelers.
“When we discovered the Geo Dome, we kind of knew it was going to be a vehicle that would really turn heads and wow people when they stepped foot in it,” Feinberg said.
However, these domes are only partially glass, so Feinberg wanted to take the glamping experience to the next level.
“You can make this even more special. Glass domes allow you to see the stars even better. At the Bryce Canyon glass location, you can even watch shooting stars from your bed,” he says. said.
The new resort has 25 glass domes, which will eventually expand to 62. Feinberg said it’s a comfortable way to connect with nature.
“We can help someone escape reality for a few days and see stars that they would never see in a big city or small town,” he said. “It just does something that changes people.”
Feinberg said it’s not difficult to create a breathtaking experience when located near a beautiful Southwest national park.
“Northern Arizona is very special, and so is southern Utah. I think it’s the most beautiful part of the country,” Feinberg said. “If you’ve never been to Bryce Canyon or the Grand Canyon, you can’t describe the scenery.”
Domes of various sizes and models can accommodate from 2 to 8 people.
Both resorts near the Grand Canyon and in Utah offer a variety of activities, from evening s’mores to hiking. Both are near national parks.
