The University of Arizona saw significant ranking improvements in several categories. 2025 US News & World Report Best Colleges The rankings were released on Tuesday.
In the Best National Universities rankings, the University of Alberta tied for 109th overall and 52nd among public universities, both up six places. The university ranked 12th among all universities designated as institutions serving Hispanic students and 23rd among provincial flagship universities, both up two places.
The University of Alberta is also ranked 4th among Big 12 Conference universities and 2nd among public universities in the conference.
The university’s Business and Information Systems program is Eller College of BusinessThe university rose to second place overall and first among public universities. Best Graduate School ListIn an April 9 U.S. News report, the MIS master’s program was ranked first among public universities and third overall. Dhaliwal Rady School of Accountancy It rose 17 places to 29th overall and 15th among public universities.
The University of Arizona saw the biggest improvement in nursing, Faculty of Nursing The School of Nursing rose 48 places to 19th overall and 13th among public universities. The School of Nursing also made big gains on Best Graduate School’s list of Best Nursing Schools, climbing 12 places to a tie for 19th overall (tied for 10th among public universities) for doctoral programs and 11 places to 30th among master’s programs (19th among public universities). The School of Nursing was also ranked It ranks 19th overall and 13th among public institutions for funding from the National Institutes of Health.

U.S. News also releases its annual Best Value rankings, which take into account a school’s academic quality, as measured by its overall annual ranking and net tuition for students with the average level of financial aid. The university ranked 118th on the list, up one spot from last year and 24 spots from 2023.

The University of Arizona also rose six places to No. 70 overall in the magazine’s “Best Colleges for Veterans” rankings.

In Forbes’ annual rankings, the University of Alberta was ranked 112th overall (up two places from last year and 19 places from two years ago) and 44th among public universities. US News & World Report ranks universities based on several measures of academic quality, including, for public universities, graduation and retention rates, peer and counselor ratings, faculty resources (class size, benefits, salaries, etc.), student selectivity, student funding, alumni giving, and graduation performance (the difference between actual and predicted graduation rates).
