Florida Atlantic University has seen a significant jump in U.S. News & World Report’s list of “Top Public Universities,” rising from 112th to 103rd in this year’s ranking of the nation’s top universities.
Florida Atlantic University has made significant progress on U.S. News & World Report’s “Top Public Schools” list, moving up from No. 112 to No. 103 in this year’s rankings of the nation’s top universities. U.S. News & World Report also ranked FAU No. 189 in its “Top National Schools,” up 20 spots from last year’s No. 209.
“Florida Atlantic University’s rise in the rankings reflects the extraordinary efforts of our entire university community,” said FAU President Stacey Bolnick. “Our culture of excellence, driven by our dedicated faculty and staff, is producing new results on a national scale, and we are proud to be recognized as a leader in student success.”
FAU also rose 20 spots in the “Best Value” category, to 146th this year, from 166th last year. The university remained in the top 40 in the “Social Mobility” category, at 32nd. The ranking is based on graduation rates of first-generation students and Pell Grant recipients and includes public and private public universities. This is one of FAU’s highest individual rankings.
In other rankings, FAU rose to 130th place on U.S. News & World Report’s list of undergraduate nursing programs, up from 133rd last year. Undergraduate computer science rose to 193rd from 210th a year ago. The undergraduate business program also rose to 147th from 159th last year, while undergraduate psychology rose to 229th from 234th last year. Undergraduate economics remained unchanged at 240th.
