U.S. News & World Report released its 2025 Best Colleges rankings today, with The College of New Jersey ranked as the top college in the “Best Regional Colleges – North” category.
TCNJ has held the top spot among public universities in its region every year since 1991, but this year it leapt to the top spot overall among all universities, public and private.
TCNJ was ranked as the region’s best college for veterans and rose four spots to No. 4 in undergraduate education programs.
The university also received high marks in other recently released rankings: The Wall Street Journal ranked TCNJ in the top 20% of all educational institutions in the country based on student achievement and learning environment, including salary.
The Princeton Review named TCNJ one of the top 390 colleges in the nation for 2025 based on student ratings.
