Between producing season 2 of the hit Hulu series Tell Me Lies and starring in the romantic comedy Space Cadet, vintage enthusiast Emma Roberts has found the time to curate the most perfect collection of designer handbags, jewelry, and accessories for luxury resale retailer Fashion File.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with the actress and producer at a Los Angeles event celebrating her partnership with the brand.

The collaboration makes sense, as Roberts has cherished secondhand treasures her entire life, as she told THR : “I’m a collector. I collect things, curiosities, dolls, fashion. So part of it is about the hunt, and I love wanting to find something. Wanting to find something is sometimes more fun than finding it.”
But that doesn’t mean it can’t be an absolute joy to seek it out. [designer item] “I just have a classic black Birkin. I’m a simple girl,” she jokes.
“Ever since I was a kid, I wanted a black Hermes Birkin bag. I never thought I’d get one…But now I proudly own a black Hermes Birkin bag that I bought from Fashion File, and I love it. When we’re driving together in the car, I look beside me and think, ‘Where were you before me?’ And it just makes me love Hermes even more.”
The collection Roberts has curated for the retailer is aptly titled Emma Roberts’ Fashion Lover’s Favorites and includes over 300 Hermès finds, including Birkin and Kelly bags. This is in addition to her handpicked selection of timeless pieces from fashion houses such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior and Cartier.

The story behind her beloved Hermes bag? “I was wearing Birkenstocks when I picked up my Birkin, and I think I’m the only person who picks up a Birkin in brown, second-hand Birkenstocks” (she wore the Birkenstocks home from set). “I think that’s just who I am.”
Beyond the partnership, Tell Me Lies season 2 is a top priority for Roberts, who serves as an executive producer on the Hulu series for her production company, Belletrist TV. “I’m so excited for everyone watching, so grateful to the cast and crew, and so grateful that it’s at number one today. I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished this season.” Between the show and her film Space Cadet, which was released on Amazon this summer, Roberts is “hanging out for the rest of the year” and “[ing] “mother.”
