MIAMI (WSVN) – The FBI is searching a luxury home in Miami.
FBI officials said agents were conducting a “court-ordered law enforcement operation” Wednesday evening at a home near the intersection of Northeast 83rd Street and North Bayshore Drive.
Viewer video shared by 7News shows agents in camouflage gear firing flash bang grenades inside the home and drawing long guns.
Other videos showed federal agents bringing in heavy weaponry and searching several items inside the home.
“It was just a normal day in Miami,” a police officer told 7News.
Three tow trucks were seen entering the neighborhood.
Neighbors said they were caught off guard.
“I heard what sounded like a flash bang. I saw smoke coming from by the garage,” said a witness who identified himself as Ralph. “I looked up and saw SWAT coming towards the Intracoastal. I heard people screaming and yelling. At least one or two people were yelling and screaming or something.”
Neighbors told 7News the home is a rental.
“It’s a two-story house and they have parties and stuff there all the time,” said witness Beth Felsen.
As of 10 p.m., investigators remained in the neighborhood and the investigation continued into the night, with Miami Police providing assistance.
Ralph said the agents were doing their jobs.
“Whatever they did, they did their job well, because we haven’t heard anything. I commend the Miami police or SWAT or whatever it is, they did their job well,” he said.
Other neighbors in the quiet neighborhood are also seeking answers.
“I hope so. I want to know what’s going on, but I also want to go home,” Felsen said.
It is unclear if anyone was home at the time of the attack.
