If you’re looking to get a cheap cheeseburger this week, you’re in luck.
McDonald’s is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day on Wednesday by selling double cheeseburgers for 50 cents, a deal that’s only available on the McDonald’s app.
They’re not the only ones: Burger King and Wendy’s will also reportedly be offering great deals to customers this week.

According to the announcement, reported by People magazine, BK will be offering a free cheeseburger to Royal Parks members with any purchase on September 18th.
For a few days only, Wendy’s is offering a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for 1 cent with any purchase. Wendy’s customers will also need to use the chain’s app to get the deal, People magazine reports.
Neither BK nor Wendy’s immediately responded to FOX Business’ requests for comment.

The city of Pasadena, California, is considered the birthplace of the American cheeseburger. According to the nonprofit organization Visit Pasadena, in 1924, 16-year-old Lionel Clark Sternberger was working at his father’s roadside burger stand, The Right Spot, when he “flicked a slice of cheese” to cover a burnt patty or at a customer’s request.
Fast-food chains are trying a variety of promotions, giveaways and menu tweaks to attract customers hurt by lingering inflation.

McDonald’s announced in July that its sales had fallen for the first time in years as it struggled to attract cash-strapped customers amid rising menu prices.
Global sales fell 1% in the second quarter, the first decline in 13 quarters, according to LSEG data, compared with analysts’ average forecast of a 0.53% increase.
