TULSA, Okla. — Alan Bowman tied his career high with five touchdown passes and No. 13 Oklahoma State beat Tulsa 45-10 on Saturday to advance to next week’s Big 12 Conference showdown with No. 12 Utah.
Bowman, in his seventh year of eligibility, completed 24 of 31 passes for 396 yards and one interception before sitting out the fourth quarter. Bowman has previously thrown five touchdown passes in games against Texas at Texas Tech in 2020 and Houston in 2018.
DeZaun Stribling caught seven passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, including one for 63 yards, to help the Cowboys (3-0) win their 10th straight game against the Golden Hurricane.
Tulsa’s defense struggled against the pass, but was able to stifle Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II. Gordon, who won the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s best running back last season, finished with 41 yards on 17 carries.
Oklahoma State led 28-0 by halftime on the strength of Bowman’s TD passes to Brennan Pressley, Stribling, Taryn Shetron and Josh Ford.
