Austin, Texas – September 12, 2024 Lotus has announced that it will launch a new ultra-luxury model of its electric hyper SUV, the Eletra Carbon, in North America.
Building on the exhilarating and desirable capabilities of Lotus’ existing hyper SUVs, the Elettre Carbon is the most capable and dynamic model in the Elettre range, setting a new global benchmark for luxury electric vehicles (EVs).
Lotus’ latest model blends cutting-edge performance and technical artistry throughout its interior and exterior design. It showcases the brand’s highest quality craftsmanship and enhances the look and feel of a high-performance car with the use of carbon fibre throughout – a luxurious, versatile and advanced material.
Eletre Carbon features three new leather interior colours – black, light grey and dark brown – from leading premium leather supplier Bridge of Weir, providing Lotus customers with the highest quality, luxurious and low carbon leather, enabling a next generation interior that raises the bar in design, comfort and luxury.
Additionally, the new interior leather features a dynamic quilted design that blends form and function: the streamlined lines create a dynamic sculpted effect and complement the car’s aerodynamic profile. Inspired by the principles of porosity, the pattern enhances both aesthetics and premium performance.
Additional options for the Eletre Carbon include powerful 10-piston carbon-ceramic brakes and a striking new Satin Black paint finish.
The vehicle was designed specifically for the US and Canadian markets to meet local consumer demand and provide the ultimate performance SUV. Pricing for the Elettre Carbon starts at $229,900. Consumers can customize and order starting today, with North American customers expected to receive their vehicles from Q1 2025.
Eletre will also enable North American customers to order their own unique Lotus with a wide range of customization options as part of Lotus Chapman Bespoke, which will soon be introduced in the region. This division of the brand specializes in creating highly personalized, bespoke luxury vehicles. Customers can order their own unique Lotus with a wide range of customization options, including custom badging and trim, allowing them to personalize the entire vehicle on a one-off basis.
