Entertainment options in Davidson County this weekend include specialty shopping at local craft breweries and a Jeep show at a local cider brewery.
There will also be music and shag dancing.
Here are five things to do in Davidson County this weekend.
1. Pop-up Market
Goose and the Monkey will host a summer pop-up market from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 31. Four businesses will participate: Fancy Plants Farmstead, Rierson Farms, Bear Dog Bakery (dog treats) and Revival, a former children’s clothing boutique. The brewery is located at 401 S. Railroad St. in Lexington.
2. Jeep Night
Jeep enthusiasts will flock to Bull City Ciderworks in Lexington on September 31 from 5 to 10 p.m. Bring your Jeep and the whole family. There will be food trucks and a DJ on site. The cidery is located at 599 S. Railroad St.
3. Music in the Vineyard
Hear Alexander Mark perform at Childress Vineyards’ weekly Music in the Vineyards series on August 31 from noon to 4 p.m. Performances are rain or shine. They may take place indoors or outdoors. Performance location is weather dependent. If weather permits, they will take place outdoors. There is no admission fee. Seating is first come, first served. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome for outdoor performances. The winery is located at 1000 Childress Vineyards Road in Lexington.
4. Draw “August’s Blue Moon”
Art 101 in Lexington will host its August Blue Moon Painting Party on Aug. 31 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Participation is $35. Seats are limited and the first painting class of its kind has sold out. This is the second class. Tickets can be purchased on Art 101’s Facebook page. Art 101 is located at 25 E. Center St.
5. Shag Dance
The Winston-Salem Shag Club will be holding its weekly dance night at the Midway Music Hall & Event Center on August 30th from 7 to 10 p.m. Entry is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase. The venue is located at 11141 Old U.S. 52 in Winston-Salem in north Davidson County.
