As UT prepares to make its Southeastern Conference debut, a new conference calls for new attire. But with boutiques dotted throughout Austin, students may be overwhelmed trying to find their game day attire. To help ease the stress of shopping, The Daily Texan has compiled a list of boutiques near campus to help you find the perfect outfit.
Longhorn Fashions – 709 W. 22nd St. (5-minute drive)
Founded by UT alumna Tessie Watson, Longhorn Fashions offers a wide selection of dresses, tops and bottoms in the signature burnt orange color. According to the Longhorn Fashions website, Watson opened the boutique after attending college and noticing a lack of unique burnt orange clothing in the fashion industry. The store also features a custom hat bar where customers can design their own hats and choose from a variety of embellishments.
Sue Patrick – 5222 Burnet Rd. (10 min drive)
Located 10 minutes from campus, this boutique has everything from Longhorns apparel to collectibles. Students can also purchase the latest SEC gear, including hats, polo shirts, mugs, and more, at affordable prices. If you’re looking for an outfit you won’t regret wearing on game day, shop at Sue Patrick.
Lux Rox Boutique – 7415 Southwest Pkwy. (20 min drive)
This upscale boutique in Southwest Austin receives new stock of game-day attire and accessories daily. From boots to sparkly clutch bags, the store carries a variety of styles. Students can find outfit inspiration on Lux Rox Boutique’s Instagram page, which posts various Longhorns lookbooks.
