A Powerball® jackpot has been won in Oregon! An Oregon Lottery player matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday night and won a jackpot worth $328.5 million. The cash value of the jackpot is $146.4 million.
The winning numbers for Saturday, January 18th’s Powerball drawing were white balls 14, 31, 35, 64, 69 and red Powerball 23. The Power Play® multiplier was 2x.
This was the first Powerball jackpot won this calendar year. The Powerball jackpot was won in New York on December 7, 2024, and was won by a ticket that won a $256 million jackpot.
The lucky ticket holder in Oregon can choose between an annuitized prize of $328.5 million or a lump sum of $146.4 million. Both prize options are pre-tax. If the winner chooses the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment and 29 annual payments increasing by 5% each year thereafter.
Nationwide, 743,301 tickets won prizes in last night’s Powerball drawing. These include 17 tickets with $50,000 prizes, three tickets with $100,000 prizes (Florida, Illinois, and Massachusetts), and a $2 million ticket in Michigan. 1 piece included. Michigan’s winning ticket matched all five white balls and included the Power Play® feature for an extra dollar for players, doubling the prize from $1 million to $2 million.
Powerball® tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of the proceeds from the sale of Powerball tickets remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Since the first drawing was held in 1992, the game has generated more than $32 billion for good causes by the U.S. Lottery.
