A 32-year-old man shot himself in the head Thursday at one of the Big Apple’s most exclusive hotels, police officials said.
Police found the guest in a room at the luxury Aman New York hotel at West 57th Street and Fifth Avenue around 1:45 p.m., sources told The Post.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police did not release his identity pending notification of his family.
“Emergency services were called and responded to an incident involving a guest in a guest room this afternoon. We are cooperating fully with emergency response forces and will not be making any further comment. ” a hotel spokesperson told the Post.
Room rates at the expensive hotel, located in the historic Crown Building just steps from Trump Tower, range from $2,133 to $14,932, according to its website.
This luxury hotel and mansion, home to a private Aman club where members paid $200,000 in membership fees, was ranked New York City’s best hotel of 2023, according to the World’s 50 Best list.
