If you want to increase your protein intake, these quick and simple cottage cheese bowls are the perfect 90-second meal idea.
Are you interested in cottage cheese now or how to eat it?
Consider using protein and calcium-rich cottage cheese as a base to create a creamy, cheesy meal! You can dress up with a variety of vegetables, sauces and meat combinations to make them lonely and satisfying! This is an excellent quick meal for one. Alternatively, you can compile multiple bowls for your family.
Last year I tried this popular melted cottage cheese bowl trend and loved it. Making for yourself as a 90-second fast microwave meal helped me achieve my protein goals every day. Half of the cottage cheese has 14 grams of protein!
Improved protein has many health benefits, such as building and storing muscle, and feeling full.
Tip: Whip cottage cheese first for a creamy texture!
Many people don’t love the texture of cottage cheese, but this is easy to fix! This can be easily addressed when the rough texture and visible curds are turned off. Whip the cottage cheese with a blender or use a dip blender like I did.
Today I share three versions of the simple cottage cheese bowl I’ve been making!
1. Cottage cheese pizza bowl
This bowl has a flavor similar to pizza slices and is very tasty. You can trade meat with vegetables for the pizza topping you want. I love the pepperoni and pepper combo. Finally add crushed red pepper flakes to make it a little spicy!
You can use mini peppers or pita chips as the crispy dipper in this bowl. Yam!
2. Cottage Cheese Octopus Bowl
I intentionally prepare a week of extra ground taco meat first, so I can make a Mexican cottage cheese bowl per week. This is creamy, flavorful and satisfying. I love eating it with Quest Protein Chips! The crunch and taco flavor is delicious.
3. Buffalo Chicken Cottage Cheese Bowl
This bowl begins by burning frozen frozen breadcrumbs nuggets in the air. Then it melts in cottage cheese, shredded cheese, buffalo sauce and chopped celery. If the spicy isn’t yours, replace your favorite BBQ or Marinara sauce with a chicken parmesan style bowl.
I love the amazing flavor combinations here. Ranch seasonings are perfect for cottage cheese!

Additional tips for making a cottage cheese bowl:
I enjoy cooking these in the microwave for convenience. If you prefer an oven, try melting at 375 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. Feel free to change the add-in according to taste. For example, you could add pre-cooked sausages and mushrooms to a pizza bowl.
