If your jam is your jam, rolling loudly and quietly, the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL could be the answer. If nomenclature is throwing you away, this is the long wheelbase (L) version of the Escalade IQ, a full-size all-electric Escalade SUV with three rows and a gob of instant torque and power.
Although the Cadillac has a standard wheelbase look, it introduced the Escalade IQ variant in the 2025 model year. Just like we’ve been doing it for decades with the escalade of combustion engines, the new IQL represents a stretch version for those who want more space for up to seven passengers. (Think about the relationship between Chevrolet Tahoe and a long but mechanically identical suburb. You nailed it.) The arrival of the new model means that Cadillac can choose a powertrain and offer two sizes for its popular and beneficial nameplate.
Most of the extra length of the IQL will result in additional legroom of 4 inches or more in the third row and in the cargo area. There’s also more headroom added.

Same technology as Cadillac IQ
Like the regular Escalade IQ, there is a second row of available packages with a 12.6-inch personal screen, a storage tray table, a wireless phone charger, a rear command center, and massage sheets that can be heated or cooled. The third row of power folding folds flat, with Frank having an additional 12.2 cubic feet of storage.
Like IQ, IQL is packed with technology. It has the same 55-inch curved screen that spans the width of the vehicle. The infotainment system comes with a standard AKG 21 speaker audio system or a usable 38 speaker system, increasing to 42 speakers in a two-row executive package. It also offers Dolby Atmos for rich sound and features 5G WiFi hotspots connected via OnStar.

Move powerful machines
The Escalade IQL has a large 24-module battery from GM. This is 205 kWh of the same capacity as that found on the IQ and GMC Hummer EV. This offers an estimated 460 miles of range, with 10 minutes of fast charging rising 116 miles with a fast charging architecture of 800 volts. With two-way charging, you can use it to charge an SUV at home or to charge a home.
As for the growl, it has a maximum speed of 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, and is power boosted. According to GM, it is suitable for 0-60 mph times of 4.7 seconds.
Like IQ, the IQL comes with independent front and rear suspension, magnetic riding control and adaptive air suspension, rear wheel steering, standard super cruise, 24-inch wheels and 35-inch tires. It can tow 7,500 pounds.
Escalade IQL will be produced at GM’s Zero Plant in Detroit in mid-2025 and will be sold worldwide. Available in four trims: Luxury, Sports, Premium Luxury and Premium Sports. It starts at $129,695.
