Legal tampering – or “negotiation period” is officially here, as the NFL calls it.

From now on, until the start of the new league year at 4pm on Wednesday, teams are allowed to negotiate with free agent representatives and settle new contracts.

The biggest name still there is Aaron Rogers. He may have seen the Steelers and Bust when he started playingoff competitors in 2025.

Daniel Jones is off the board as the former Giants first-round pick reportedly has a $14 million deal with the Colts.

Monday was a busy day for the well-known QB movement. Sam Darnold, number one on Frank Schwab’s top 25 overall agent list, reportedly agreed to a three-year, $105.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks, but the New York Jets have signed a two-year, $40 million contract with Justinfield, earning a $30 million guarantee. The Cleveland Browns then acquired Kenny Pickett from the Philadelphia Eagles for their fifth pick with Dorian Thompson Robinson.

New Orleans Saints and tight end Juwan Johnson have agreed to a $225 million contract for a three-year, $30 million contract, according to the NFL Network.

The transaction includes escalators that could increase the total amount to $34.5 million. The 28-year-old Johnson played five seasons of NFL career as a part-time starter with the Saints. He caught 50 passes for 548 yards and three touchdowns last season.

Ravens FB Patrick Ricard returns to Baltimore on a one-year deal

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that fullback Patrick Ricard has been re-signed on a one-year contract. The dollar amount has not been revealed.

Ricardo, 30, is a two-time All-Pro, five-time Pro Bowler and a seven-year veteran of the Ravens organization.

In January, Ravens general manager Ernie DeCosta said he hopes Ricardo will retire as Raven.

“He represents everything we are,” DeCosta said. “He is, in my opinion, another undrafted guy who has become the best in his position.”

Pass Rusher’s Anthony Nelson is back at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a two-year, $10 million contract, with ESPN reporting that he has a contract of up to $12 million.

Nelson, 28, played six seasons of his career with The Bucs. He has 18.5 career sacks while playing mainly as a reserve. He tallied four bags and 40 tackles last season, playing in 17 games, including six starts.

Tyrann Mathieu is reportedly restructuring his covenant to stay with the saint

The honey badger is at home. According to the Saints, Tira Matthew, who defeated author Nick Underhill, restructured his contract to stay in New Orleans.

No details of the reworked contract were initially reported. But it provides saints with salary cap relief, and Mathieu reportedly accounts for up to $7.2 million next season.

Matthew was originally scheduled to win a two-year, two-year, $13.75 million contract in 2024, playing for a base salary of $6.25 million and a $1 million roster bonus.

A three-time pro bowler, Matthew will enter his 13th NFL season at age 33. He will win four straight wins with his hometown saints after starting 17 games in each of his first three seasons in New Orleans.

Kavontae Turpin reportedly is creating the highest-paid special team in the NFL

Dallas is paying for Kavontae Turpin on a three-year deal worth $18 million, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Turpin is a two-time Pro Bowler and was selected for the All-Pro last season. He scored another score in 2024 with 904 kickoff return yards and touchdowns, 187 punt return yards. He also caught 31 passes for 420 yards and two touchdowns.

In his career, he has 2,274 yards.

The Houston Texans have agreed to a one-year, $4.25 million contract with veteran guard Laiken Tomlinson, with a maximum value of $5 million, the NFL Network reports.

Tomlinson, 32, played 10 NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He is a photo of consistency throughout his career, playing at least 15 games in each of his seasons. All but eight of the 163 games he played started.
