The team will move quickly this week, with most of the top players in NFL free agency already leaving the board of directors a few days after it officially launched on Wednesday.
That doesn’t mean that your team doesn’t have much talent left to sign. Here are the best players still available.
1. Jets QB Aaron Rogers
We definitely haven’t heard whether Rodgers wants to play. If so, there will be interest from the team even if he is due to turn 42 in December. Rodgers played pretty well late last season and although he’s no longer at MVP level, he’ll be better than some of the other starting QBs in the league in week one.
2. Bills WR Amari Cooper
Cooper was injured in the bill, so perhaps the reason he wasn’t the majority of the offense, he was 297 yards in eight games. He will be June 31st, but he spent a 1,250-yard season in 2023 and was consistently productive. Teams need to know if 2024 is the first sign of a major slide.
3. TexansWR Stefon Diggs
Houston oddly restructured Diggs’ deal shortly after trading him, allowing him to become a free agent this year. Unfortunately for Diggs, he tore the ACL in week 8.
4. Bears WR Keenan Allen
Allen’s trade with Chicago last spring wasn’t what he or the Bears expected. He struggled to fit the offense overall with 744 yards, with 70 catches and six touchdowns. Allen will turn 33 next month, but he’s still a good route runner and can beat man and zone coverage.
5. Viking OT Cam Robinson
Robinson went up and down after a midseason trade with Minnesota. This was fair to him, not the most talented line to begin with. He turns 30 in October and is looking for another big payday.
6. CHARGERSCB ASANTE SAMUEL JR.
Samuel Jr. is away from a shoulder injury that knocked him out for much of the 2024 season. Still, he is only 25 years old and is an experienced tackler with a strong closure speed. Some teams that require DB room upgrades are going to pay him.
