The Commander-in-Chief Trophy is at stake: The Army, Navy, and Air Force compete each year for the Commander-in-Chief Trophy, but it’s unusual for the trophy to be up for grabs by the time this game is played. is. Navy had lost three of its past five games, which prevented Navy from qualifying for the AAC Championship Game, but the Midshipmen received as much hype as Army during the first half of the season. . They started the year with six straight wins, but lost the annual showdown with Notre Dame, 51-14. Then the rudder fell off the ship. Losses to Rice and Tulane soon followed, dropping the mid-team from conference contention. Still, even if Army wins the AAC, we all know which trophy both teams really want.
