U.S. News & World Report used data from the Nevada Department of Education to rank the best charter schools in the country. American media companies are based on six factors: college readiness, proficiency on state assessments, performance on state assessments, performance of underserved students, breadth of college curriculum, and graduation rates. A ranking was created. This was the same methodology used for U.S. News’ high school rankings list.
Arizona far outperformed other states in the charter school field, taking seven of the top 10 states in the U.S. News rankings. However, Arizona has far more charter schools than other states. For comparison, there are 513 operating charter schools in Arizona and 91 in Nevada.
